Roots Wellness Center
Roots Wellness Center operates as a placement site offering clinical practice and supervision for psychology students, as well as trainees in psychotherapy and counseling.
Roots Wellness Center accepts students from recognized and accredited universities and colleges, within the framework of their clinical placement.
The sessions conducted by students as part of their clinical placement involve counseling and psychotherapeutic support services and take place at our office in Kallithea, by appointment and prior arrangement, in both Greek and English.
Clinical practice and supervision include:
- Individual supervision
- Group supervision
- Case discussion and analysis
- Support in the management of counseling and psychotherapeutic processes
- Guidance in the preparation of research assignments
- Provision of relevant scientific and informational material
- Access to low-cost personal therapy
The therapists at Roots Wellness Center work within an integrative approach, incorporating elements from different therapeutic models, such as person-centered, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), systemic, existential, and Gestalt approaches, as well as principles of clinical psychology.
Within this framework, they support students and early-career mental health professionals exclusively through clinical practice and supervision, contributing to the development of their skills and the management of professional challenges.
Throughout the year, postgraduate mental health students provide free services through individual counseling and psychotherapy sessions, as part of their clinical placement and under continuous supervision.
Students carry out their clinical placement in collaboration with their academic institutions and are covered by the required insurance, in accordance with applicable legislation. They do not constitute employees of the center.
Participation is strictly limited to clinical practice and supervision, within the context of academic studies or professional development.
