Dietitian – Nutritionist
My relationship with nutrition began with a desire to better understand how closely what we eat is connected to the way we feel, function, and care for ourselves. Over time, I came to realise that nutrition is not simply a set of rules or numbers, but an important part of everyday life, influenced by our habits, emotions, experiences, and the way we perceive our bodies.

I am a Dietitian – Nutritionist with more than 15 years of professional experience in Greece and abroad. I completed my undergraduate studies in Nutrition and Dietetics and hold a Master’s degree in Nutrition, Wellbeing and Public Health.

For approximately ten years, I ran my own private dietetic practice in Chania, working with people with a wide range of nutritional needs, goals, and challenges. This experience helped me understand even more deeply that behind every nutritional concern there is a unique individual, with their own lifestyle, circumstances, and relationship with food.

I later worked as a Clinical Dietitian and Food Services Coordinator at the General Hospital of Chania, where, among other responsibilities, I was in charge of the nutritional follow-up of the Psychiatric Department as well as psychiatric care facilities across the region of Chania. Through this experience, I developed particular expertise in the nutritional care of individuals with psychiatric conditions and in working closely within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

My professional journey then continued in Canada and Ireland. In Canada, I worked in long-term care settings and with Island Health in British Columbia, gaining valuable experience in structured hospital and multicultural healthcare environments.

Today, I work as Head of the Nutrition Department at Filoktitis Rehabilitation Center, where I oversee the nutritional care of patients and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop individualised nutrition interventions.

In my daily practice, I view nutrition counselling as a collaborative process rather than the simple provision of a meal plan. I consider it important to understand not only what someone eats, but also why they eat in a certain way, how they feel around food, and which changes can realistically become part of their everyday life.

My approach is individualised and may include weight management, clinical nutrition, behaviour and habit change, and the improvement of one’s relationship with food, with particular emphasis on the connection between nutrition, emotions, and mental wellbeing. My goal is to help each person develop a realistic and sustainable way of eating that reflects their individual needs and supports their overall health and quality of life.
